North Mymms Parish Council owns the allotments on Station Road and is happy to hire them out (full or half plots) to local residents in return for a small fee. Please contact the Parish Clerk if you wish to hire or no longer wish the use of one.

Every year an award is made to the holder of the best allotment.

2015 Winners

Allotment Challenge Cup

1st     7Ai – John Potter

Excellent crop variety and quality, , colourful including flowers, generally weed free, looks a well-tended plot with excellent appearance and tidy edges to the plot.


2nd      8Aii – Arthur Cottrell

Very good variety of crops, weed free and good general appearance, lovely cared for allotment, no clutter and good proportions with little flower garden.


3rd      14 – Anthony Trinder

Excellent variety of crops, some unusual crops, virtually week free, good crop succession, space to compost, use of natural materials for supports, some flowers.

We were pleased at the 2016 Civic Service to be able to present a trophy to Mr Geoff Matthews recently in recognition of the 50 years of continuous occupation of one of our plots.
